Yumsh Snacks has launched a new range of orange and apple Tango-flavoured popcorn.
The Poptang bagged snacks, which incorporates the “tangy” flavour of soft drink Tango, is available to consumers in the UK in individually sized 20g and 70g sharing packs.
Yumsh Snacks has combined high-quality popcorn with the Tango’s tangy fruit flavour fizz. Poptang is also gluten-, dairy-, GMO- and MSG-free – as well as vegan-friendly and kosher. It will launch across the retail, foodservice and vending channels.
And, in Tango’s inimitably lively manner, each pack claims to provide “six of your five tangs a day”.
Tony Goodman, CEO of Yumsh Snacks, said: “Poptang is about to make a fruity explosion in the snack world. Yumsh Snacks are renowned for their premium quality popcorn and ‘free from plus’ credentials. These have been intrinsically woven together with two sensational flavours from Tango – an iconic UK brand. The result is a fizz-tastic new snack, which will tang the socks off the nation.”

Ten Acre shows just how great it tastes
Yumsh Snacks entered the Great Taste awards for the first time in 2015 and came away with multiple successes for their Ten Acre brand, showing the breadth of quality of their exciting range of hand cooked crisps and popcorn.
10,000 entries, 400+ judges...
Organised by the Guild of Fine Food, the Great Taste Awards are acknowledged as the benchmark for those producing speciality food and drink across the UK. The Great Taste logo offers members of the public a trusted and instantly recognisable guarantee of quality. The palates of over 400 judges judged and re-judged, before they made their crucial decisions about which products, from the 10,000 entries, were to receive their highly sought after stamp of great taste approval.
And the winners are... the punchy popcorn with personality, found in a bright green bag and soon to be carrying two gold stars: Ambrose Popperley's Wasabi
. The judges felt the "kick from the wasabi which goes sweet - cleverly done" and they went on to enjoy one or two more; "melt in the mouth and absolutely moreish!"
Following closely on the heels of this memorable flavour, is a "light and fluffy popcorn;" as thought by the judges - this is the Ten Acre approach to Sweet & Salty popcorn. Look out for the bright pink bag of Aunty Winifred's Sweet and Salty
, which will shortly be adorned with a star.
Not to be outshone by the handpicked popcorn from the Popcorn Orchards of the Ten Acre village; their British potato crisps with a cracking crunch, also collected stars.
The Day Sweet and Sour Became Friends
and When Hickory Got BBQ'd
both collected awards. The Ten Acre approach to BBQ crisps were described as having; "Very good crunch, warming flavour with a well-balanced heat". Sweet & Sour were also happily munched by the judges; "A good snap - they certainly deliver on the promise of sweet and sour."
And Free From Plus too...
Ten Acre crisps and popcorn taste great but they also have the extra bite of their Free From Plus
credentials; Gluten, Dairy and MSG Free, Vegan, Halal and Kosher. All made in the UK, using British potatoes and handpicked popcorn from the wonderful world of Ten Acre!
Tony Goodman CEO of Yumsh Snacks said; "Ten Acre is celebrating, when the village should really be out in the fields harvesting the crops! We are delighted to have come away from our first entry into the Great Taste Awards with a total of five stars for our Ten Acre products. We appreciate how highly this accolade is regarded and it spurs us on to introduce more fabulous new flavours and we hope more Great Taste stars in the future."
